Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 4:00 AM
Clark Humanites Museum
Amy Ellingson ’86 will discuss how her paintings and drawings move between digital design and analog techniques of making, translating repeated forms through labor-intensive processes of layering, tracing, painting, and plotting. She will share the evolution of her studio practice and discuss how technology, materiality, and the imperfections of hand and machine can coexist within a rigorously structured abstract language. Pixel Palettes: 40 Years of Digital Art at Scripps College is part of an exciting year of conversations, performances, exhibitions, and ideas as we celebrate the College’s centennial year. Funding for this event was provided by Centennial Programming Funds, made possible by Scripps Presents.
